We are busy with yet another piece of celestial software code-named: Rocket Eclipse. The development team has been hard at work to develop our next generation recruitment software for the last 6 months and we will use this blog to keep you informed on our progress. 1. What is Rocket Eclipse?
Rocket Eclipse is an online application that will replace our current Rocket Recruitment package.
2. Why do Rocket Recruitment need replacing?
With the availability of more cost effective broadband, the software landscape is changing rapidly. Software is moving to the cloud and so are we. Rocket Eclipse will be a state of the art Silverlight application which will be accessible via a browser. This will give numerous benefits such as: decrease in total cost of ownership, improved redundancy, allowing people to work from anywhere, centralise data in a multi-branch scenario, no more costly delays in deployment of new releases, etc.
3. Will I be able to convert my data?
Rocket Eclipse is being designed from the ground up and the data structures will differ completely, but yes the core data will definitely be converted from Rocket Recruitment to Rocket Eclipse.
4. What will the cost implication be to upgrade?
We still need to confirm costs, but we obviously want to entice our clients to upgrade to the new product and would therefore aim to make it as attractive as possible.
5. When can we see it?
We are aiming to complete most of the Candidate, Client and Vacancy modules by the end of July 2011 and will potentially make a demo version available online for test driving.
6. Will you have a BETA program?
Most certainly. We will be providing more detail to our existing clients as soon as we have BETA 1 available.
7. Is it merely rewriting Rocket Recruitment to an online application or would you be introducing new functionality?
New functionality is key Rocket Eclipse and just to name some of the new features:
a. Simplified searching
b. Seamless adding and updating of Candidate CV via the web
c. Increased customisation by specifying your own mandatory fields
d. Increased customisation through enhanced User Defined Fields and Attributes
e. Built-In Business Processes with the ability to extend to mimic your own
f. Better visibility through dashboards and enhanced reporting capability
g. Workflow module to automate tasks
h. Web API to allow login’s to your Clients and Candidates
i. And loads more....
